Albuquerque CC's 2010-2011
December 11 (2010)
Okay, so just so you know, we were Team Take Down, and have shirts with skittys that say "TTD", but we changed it to Team Thunder Dwolf at the last minute. Its actually pronounced just like Team Thunder Wolf, but we didn't want to make new shirts so we just crammed a silent D in there.

Okayso. I got to Anson's house (late) and was immediately greeted by --this collage-- Anson made me, then shoved off in to Mike's new seven passenger van with the rest of the members of TTD.
The drive up was pretty rad. One slight downfall is that Mike was blasting Van Halen the whole way up, so we usually tried to communicate with pictochat on our DS's. I took a lot of pictures and then Sol took some pictures of me. Some funny took place.
Before the tournament was less rad. I had to: Get an Azelf, find new sleeves (at a Whole Foods, mind you), put my deck in order, hand write a list, re-sleeve, and hit deck checks in 40 minutes. Needless to say, I pulled it off expertly, and probably in under eight seconds.
First round was against n00b - "All Grass Deck"
I got a lone Uxie start (Yikes!), and he got a lone Shaymin UL start. Turns out its one of his main attackers.
I manage to get up a Porygon-Z with a DCE, Expert belt, and four TMs by my next turn, but he seems unphased, and actually confident because he has his Shaymin (still alone) energied up and is hitting me for 30.
He kept this confidence even after he managed to knock out my active Uxie, because it apparently didn't occur to him that I could bring up my Porygon-Z , hit him for 140 and win until after I did it.
1-0
Second round against Michael A.- "T-tar (old school)"
This kid was way hardcore bruh. He won State's two years ago (Juniors). I purposefully let him draw three prizes while I set up, then I Just did a consistent six turn 120 damage sweep of his T-Tar SFs and Nidoqueen RRs.
2-0
Third round against Anson S.- "Kingdra prime Machamp seeker donk"
We both shuffled eachothers decks and had a stare down for ten minutes just for fun, but apparently he did some crazy autistic math or some kind of gypsy magic because my opening hand went like this:
DCE - DCE - Rescue Energy - Basic Metal - Porygon - Porygon-Z - Expert Belt.
And he got some kinda signature consistency breathing beast of a hand.
But don't worry, to top it all off, I went first. Like every game prior to this one.
I start my first turn, and top-deck in to ANOTHER DCE. I manage to get out a Porygon with a DCE and sharpen for 10.
He gets out a Machoke with a fighting energy benched and a Kingdra prime active, spray splashes once and passes (I guess he couldn't get a water energy, which means my prayers worked!)
I top deck in to ANOTHER GOD DAMN DOUBLE COLORLESS. I exclaim "Are you SERIOUS?!" a little to loud, expert belt my Porygon, sharpen for 30, and pass.
2-1
Oh also I won a cellphone charm in the raffles.
Lunch break was pretty much the best thing thats ever happened to me.
As our tradition goes, Team Thunder Dwolf went to Burger King to get two buck doubles and a drink, but Solomon decided to break away from tradition today, and buy their Texas Whopper, A chicken sandwich, a large fries, and a 32 ounce cup of Coca-Cola (No ice).
I took a lot of pictures of him eating it, cuz the colors of BK went SO PERFECTLY with the colors of Solomon and the burger. He was also considering buying a milkshake to dip the fries in.
After BK, we went off to Kmart, and Solomon bought cotton candy. Here's one of my favorite quotes of the day:
"Hey guys, weird story, I felt sick from eating all that food, then I ate cotton candy and now I feel more sick"
He wasn't kidding, this actually kind of confused him.
Moving on, everyone thought I would top cut for sure, seeing as I had an okay match up against everyone else at the tournament and Anson's win percentage was so high, so I was pretty excited.
Fourth round was against Jose B.- "Jumplume"
Okay, lemme just say that if I'd have gone second I would have gotten a first turn DGX and won easily, but I didn't, and he got a first turn vileplume. I lost six turns later.
It was a fun game though, Jose is my best friend so I was able to screw around with him a little without worrying about the judges being called on my tom-foolery. (I wasn't cheating or anything, just pretending to attach three Porygon-Zs to an uxie and such.)
2-2
Whatever, I called dips on winning Rio Rancho City's anyways.
Top 2 Cut. Josh M. - "Blazeraychomp" vs. Anson S. - "Kingdra prime Machamp seeker donk"
I wasn't in top cut, but I figured I''d right about it cuz I was there. Anson lost the first two games. The first took a long time, but he appeared to be holding on by a thread, and on the second, he was onl 10 damage away from getting an Uxie donk. I stopped watching after that.
Top cut was fun because Jose, Solomon, Crazy fish, and two of one of the judges little siblings had a ping pong tournament on the other end of the room.
Drive home was good too.
Rio Rancho CC's is tomorrow!
OH ALSO. Here's all the photos I took today.
